Jessica Erin, sweet but kinda nutty!

10 minutes ago we had blue sky. Right now its pouring. By the time I’m done with this post it will be sunny skies again. Typical Florida.

This exact thing happened on my location shoot with Jessica Erin. We were working in the studio for most of the day. Very productive overall and the best part – loads of fun. I’m telling you right now - do something you enjoy doing and are passionate about. It makes work more than just bearable, it actually gives you something to look forward to. When I’m working a 16+ hour day it usually feels more like 3 hours. The time flies, the shutters click, creativity-a-flowing…can’t get much better than that.

Alas, I digress….well, as I’ve said before…my blog, my rules.

Back to Jessica Erin. This cutie is based out of NashVegas (aka Nashville). She’s a Chicago Bears fan but I won’t hold it against her (GO STEELERS). This teeny tiney girl has a very powerful voice, mature pitch – really unexpected. Her manager hooked me up with an advanced copy of her CD (hits this August). I can’t share it with you because the mixing isn’t done but it makes even this indie rock fan want to strap on some cowboy boots and bust a move. The song GIRLS NIGHT OUT will definitely make it to my itunes playlist!

Oh, and if this photography thing doesn’t work out for me…and my backup option of being a drummer for Emily Stine falls through…I’m gonna be Jessica’s opening act – KAROKE RAP. I figure I can cover some Kanye West, maybe Jay-Z and for my encore do Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock.

Jasper Sawyer will blow your mind!

I first met Jasper about 3 years ago...my my how we all grow up so fast. He's 18 now, making soulful, amazing, ORIGINAL music. Its like old school 50s pop with a modern spin. His voice is perfection and the piano elevates his groovy sound. He can hit the high notes like a bona fide pro...totally stunning. One listen and you too will be impressed. His cd isn't quite done yet but lucky me, I got an advance screening! I think the track EVERYTHING is my fave and then RUN AROUND...

On a very sidenote (my blog, my rules, my rants) as much as I loathe myspace I do get the ocasional perk (aka blast from the past). This cool chicky I knew a lifetime ago named Arwen (her mum named her after the one and only elf made famous by Tolkien himself) got in contact with me. Its fun catching up... I photographed her back in the day when digital wasn't on the horizon, parlor pizza was a gormet meal and Mat & I resided on da' north side next to a dive called Wilson's BBQ. Oh the days...
