I get emails all the time asking me about how I got started in photography, how I do what I do and a plethora of other miscellaneous personal questions. Here’s some stuff to chew on…if I missed anything let me know and I’ll add it to the list…

Where I grew up...Smallville PA, about 1 hour north of Pittsburgh (GO STEELERS).

What equipment do you use...Hasselblad H cameras and lenses, Phase One P30+ digital backs, Profoto 7bs and light shaping tools, Apple everything, LaCie drives, SanDisc CF cards, Starbucks and Chipotle.

The piece of equipment I can't part with... Other than my camera, Starbucks.

One thing I do daily for my business... Answer emails and phone calls ASAP!

One thing I do daily for my creativity... Add something to my idea/inspiration book. Even if its a random thought (ie. Astroturf) I use this to pull ideas out of a metaphorical magic hat. Although I wouldn’t turn down someone providing me with a real magic hat.

Something I always have with me during a photo shoot... Imagination.

If anyone could shoot a portrait of you it would be ... No one, not even photographers I admire. I have a teeny tiny phobia of being caught on film. It started with many, many awful school portrait photos (kindergarten I cut my bangs off the day before school pictures, 1st grade I put on red lipstick, 2nd grade I didn't smile, I scowled, 6th grade my Mum did a home perm that went way wrong, many bad wardrobe choices, oh the agony).

If not a photographer I would have been an .... As a child a veterinarian. I love animals, even slime covered creatures. But then I watched an old Disney movie called Thomasina and when that cat died I was traumatized. I knew then at 7 years old I couldn’t take being a vet.

What's your drink... Water

Something you’ll always find in my car... Yoga mat

What I ate for breakfast... Kashi go lean crunch cereal. I love all cereal.

I'm annoyed by...People who dis on Orlando. I love this city, I enjoy the weather BIG TIME. Is it perfect here, no but other than Hawaii I don’t think any place is. Rather than complain try changing the things you don’t like…or move. Its like complaining about the president but you didn’t vote.

Something I love to indulge in... Ice cream

If I needed therapy it would be for... Massage

I'm happiest when... Mat's with me. But my pug sleeping on my lap is a close second.

If they made a movie about my life, it would be... a quirky comedy with flawed people like Little Miss Sunshine meets Napoleon Dynamite.

If you could do over one moment in your life which moment would it be and why... I wouldn't want to mess with the time space continuum that way. I've seen way to many sci-fi movies.

Sunrise or sunset... Sun period...I like it all. But I really like shooting at sunset, heck most photographers do.

One thing about you that most people don’t know...I talk in my sleep. Not quiet whispering. I talk at a normal volume and usually wake up anyone who is sleeping in the nearby vicinity. I've done it my entire life.
